Weddings are part of a much broader story for me.
My background is in portrait, landscape, and reportage photography — disciplines that shape the way I see a wedding day: real moments, good light, honest composition.
I approach each wedding as I would any commission — with care, quiet observation, and an eye for atmosphere. The result is a set of images that feel timeless, natural and unforced.
I began my career assisting Patrick Lichfield, learning the importance of instinct, timing and light.
Since then, I’ve spent over twenty-five years photographing people and places — from landscapes along the Cornish coast to portraits and editorial commissions across the UK and beyond..
That experience informs everything I shoot, weddings included. I’m interested in authenticity — in moments as they happen, not as they’re arranged.
Based in Cornwall, I work throughout the South West and further afield.
I don’t follow a formula or set of poses.
Instead, I work quietly in the background, allowing the day to unfold naturally. I’ll step in when needed, but most of the time you’ll barely notice I’m there — and that’s usually when the best photographs happen.
